- Norma MacDonald was born and raised in Cape Breton, and now lives in Halifax.. She is a singer, guitar player and songwriter with a country/folk sound. Burn the Tapes debuted at #3 on the national Earshot Folk/Roots chart the week of its release. It was nominated as Americana/Bluegrass album of the year by Music Nova Scotia.
- Carmel Mikol is a folk singer, songwriter and touring musician from Cape Breton. A three time East Coast Music Association award nominee and Grand Prize winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Folk Category, she's performed on festival stages across Canada alongside folk greats Amelia Curran, Matt Anderson, Rose Cousins, and many more. She's toured internationally with Gabrielle Papillon and Kim Wempe and has co-songwriting credits with a diverse roster of artists from Gold-selling pop artist Ria Mae to blues legend John Campbelljohn. Her third album Daughter of a Working Man comes out this year.
- Kim Wempe This Canadian artist has earned herself an East Coast Music Award in Canada for Rising Star of the Year as well as multiple nominations for Female Artist of the year, Pop Recording of the Year, and Folk Recording of the Year. Wempe has performed alongside Canadian favourites Sam Roberts, Royal Wood, Jill Barber, Matt Andersen, Rose Cousins and more.
